Product details

The PCH LED Tester is a professional tool designed for fast and easy testing of PCH lines on laptop motherboards, PCs, and other compatible devices. It supports M-Key, E-Key, and CNVi interfaces and provides multiple important test points for wider PCH line coverage and signal testing. The tester supports all paired data lines, high-speed lines,SSD,SATA,CNVI and clock lines, making it easier to check critical PCH connections. It also provides access to important signals such as SUSCLK, PERST, PEWAKE, 3V3, SSD-DETECT, CLKREQ, SMBus lines, CNVRST, and CNVCLKREQ. Built-in LED indicators allow technicians to quickly identify OPEN or SHORT conditions, helping locate faulty lines and troubleshoot PCH-related problems faster and more efficiently.
How It Works:
Simply connect the PCH LED Tester to the motherboard through the appropriate M-Key, E-Key, or CNVi interface. The tester checks multiple PCH signal lines, including paired data lines, high-speed lines, USB lines ,SSD,wireless,Bluetooth , SMBUS and clock lines. The built-in LEDs provide a quick visual indication of the line condition, making it easy to identify OPEN or SHORT lines and locate potential PCH-related faults without manually testing each line individually.
The tester features 32 LEDs. On the M-Key side, the LEDs are arranged as RN/RP pairs and TN/TP pairs. However, the E-Key and CNVi interfaces share some of these same pairs, such as RN0/RP0 and TN0/TP0. For this reason, the shared LED pairs are clearly marked on the tester with two arrows , with an additional reference note provided on the back for easy identification.
Important Test Points for Multimeter & Oscilloscope Testing:
- SUSCLK
- PERST
- PEWAKE
- SSD-DETECT
- 3V3
- SSD-DETECT
- CLKREQ
- SMBUS (SDA,SCL)
- CNVRST
- CNVCLKREQ
To make testing easier, we have highlighted the important test points in the center of the tester. These points are shared between the M-Key and E-Key/CNVi sides, so SUSCLK, 3V3, PERST, PEWAKE, and CLKREQ can be tested from either side.
Two push buttons: One controls the TN/TP LEDs, while the other controls the remaining LEDs, helping reduce power consumption and extend CR2032 battery life.
